Biography
Sergio Arana is Director of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the School of Engineering of the University of Navarra and also Director of the Biomedical Devices and MEMS group and Deputy Director of the Water and Health Division at CEIT. He has been involved in more than 40 projects, both industrial and research projects and is author or co-author of more than 60 scientific and technical papers and national and international conference communications.
Research Interest
His research and teaching interests include bioMEMS for diagnosis and therapy, body implants, silicon processing techniques, clean room processes. He also serves as referee for several international journals focused on microsystems and bioMEMS. He was awarded as “Ambassador†of the city of San Sebastian in 2012 for his involvement in the scientific activities of the city.
