Biography
Xun Chen received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2009 and his Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, in 2014, where he was a research scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Currently, he is with the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), China, as a full professor. He is Director of Biomedical Signal and Image Processing Lab in HFUT. He is an IEEE member and a senior member of The Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering (CSBME). He is an editorial board member of several journals, e.g. Bioinformatics & Biological Systems, and Chinese Medical Device. He has served on a number of committees of international conferences, e.g. the IEEE CCECE (2016) and the BEGT (2015). He is the principal investigator of several research projects and has published more than 30 refereed journal/conference papers.
Research Interest
Prof. Xun Chen's research interests include the broad areas of statistical signal processing and machine learning in biomedical applications, e.g. biomedical data analysis, mobile healthcare, medical device design, etc..
